Queenstown Gondola and Luge (my Tripadvisor review)

Please note that there are many daily discount packages available at the Gondola Terminal.

The fam-fam riding down the luge hill with mum achingly slow at the back.
Luge:
If you are usually risk-averse when it comes to driving a real car. Or if you have never driven a real car before. It is time to let your inhibitions go.

The luge is the best place to speed about everywhere. Literally. Given the easy movement mechanisms and the safety barriers, the luge is safe, comfortable and most importantly FUN. It was fantastic to be able to speed down the hill with no worries. Although that might have been just me going a bit overboard in excitement.

A piece of advice would be to observe how many people are at the starting track to gage your pace. You would hate to have to slow down at the luge just because there is a crowd of people in your way. Helmets are provided. Do not ride alone. It is more fun racing :P .

So how many times should you ride the luge?
-If you drive a car, three is more than enough.
-If you don't drive a car and want to make the most out of cheap deals and the adrenaline rush, take five luge rides.

Gondola:
Having been to many countries with astounding views equipped with gondolas (which I fondly know better as a cable car), this gondola was nothing extraordinary. Like any other gondola, one person would have the experience of facing a rising wall of dirt and shrubs; whilst the other gets a slightly blurred view of Queenstown and its lake.

Unfortunately, the restaurant needs to be booked atleast two weeks before your intended visit as it is usually fully booked.
